Every steel structure follows a strict quality workflow. From accurate 3D modeling through certified welding to professional erection.

    Structural calculation & 3D design

    We prepare or audit technical documentation, performing structural calculations for load capacity, wind, snow and dynamic crane loads according to Eurocodes.

    Shop fabrication & certified welding

    Profiles are cut and drilled on CNC lines and welded in full compliance with EN 1090-2 (execution class EXC-3) under IWE supervision.

    Anti-corrosion coating & galvanizing

    Steel is blast-cleaned to Sa 2.5 and finished with certified multi-layer paint systems, fire protection or hot-dip galvanizing to ISO 12944 up to C5-I.

    Transport, erection & handover

    We handle transport of oversized components, mobile cranes and on-site erection by certified crews, delivering full CE certification documentation.

Steel structures are designed and manufactured to order — based on structural analysis, applied load combinations and specific operational requirements. Load-bearing profiles IPE, HEA and HEB are assembled using bolted and welded connections for optimal joint stiffness and structural efficiency.   • Material tonnage and profile mix: Ratio of rolled beams (IPE, HEA, HEB), plates and fastening hardware.
  • Execution Class (EXC): Level of welding inspection and quality requirements under EN 1090-2 (EXC-2 vs EXC-3).
  • Surface coating: Basic primer, multi-layer epoxy/PU paint, intumescent fireproofing (R15–R60) or hot-dip galvanizing.
  • Erection complexity: Hook height, crane access and site ground conditions.

What types of steel structures do you fabricate?

Which standards and execution classes do you comply with?

Fabrication conforms to EN 1090-2 in execution class EXC-3 (including EXC-2 and EXC-1). Welding is certified to EN ISO 3834-2 and our welders are certified to EN ISO 9606-1 under the supervision of an International Welding Engineer (IWE).

What is the cost of a steel structure and what does it depend on?

The cost of a steel structure is calculated individually based on structural engineering, total tonnage, profile types (IPE, HEA, HEB), selected corrosion protection (protective paint vs hot-dip galvanizing vs fire protection) and site installation complexity. Can you deliver a hall structure ready for an overhead crane?

Yes, this is our key competitive advantage. Being an overhead crane manufacturer, we design the hall skeleton with integrated corbels and crane runways engineered for the exact dynamic load of the crane (1–80 t). You receive both structure and lifting equipment from a single source without interface risks.

What surface treatments and corrosion protection do you provide?

We provide surface preparation by shot-blasting to Sa 2.5, synthetic and 2-component epoxy/polyurethane systems, certified fire-retardant intumescent coatings (R15–R60), metallization and hot-dip galvanizing up to corrosion class C5-I per ISO 12944.

What is the difference between execution classes EXC-2 and EXC-3 under EN 1090-2?

EXC-2 covers standard statically loaded buildings and warehouses. EXC-3 is stricter and mandatory for dynamically loaded structures — halls with crane runways, bridges, and higher-consequence facilities. It mandates an International Welding Engineer (IWE), non-destructive testing (VT, MT, UT), and 100% traceability of mill test certificates. BUREX manufactures to EXC-3 as standard.

How long does fabrication and erection of a steel hall structure take?

Shop fabrication typically takes 4 to 8 weeks from approval of structural calculations and shop drawings. On-site steel skeleton erection takes 1 to 3 weeks depending on hall dimensions and tonnage. Thanks to precise CNC fabrication, on-site assembly is fast and predictable.

Do you supply steel structures with on-site installation across Slovakia?

Yes. Our manufacturing facilities are based in Michalovce, but we deliver, survey, erect and hand over steel structures throughout Slovakia and neighboring Central European regions.
