03 / Process
A runway is a load-bearing structure, not just a weldment. That is why we start with a calculation and finish with a load test.
From your crane data (load capacity, span, duty class) we calculate the runway loads and design the profiles, corbels and anchoring to EN 13001.
We manufacture girders, corbels and anchoring elements in Michalovce to EN 1090 — welding, drilling and surface treatment, including hot-dip galvanizing for outdoor use.
We install the runway and align it by laser to parallelism and elevation tolerances. Rails are joined and their joints dressed flush.
After the crane is installed, we carry out a runway load test and hand over the documentation, including the inspection report.

That is the first question we address. We calculate the loads from the runway and crane and compare them with the load-bearing capacity of your hall structure. If the hall columns are not sufficient, we design a runway on standalone columns or structural reinforcement — and your structural engineer gets the results as well.
Yes. We design and manufacture a runway for any overhead crane — we only need the crane type, load capacity, span and lifting height. We also supply the runway alone, without a crane, including installation.
Typically with chemical anchors into concrete columns or corbels. Before installation, we verify anchor capacity with pull-out tests. Where the floor is weak or standalone columns are used, we design concrete foundations — micropiles in extreme cases.
A typical hall runway (30–60 m of track per side) takes one to two weeks to install, depending on height and access. You receive an exact schedule in the technical proposal — we can adapt it to your production shutdowns.
The rail is not welded on but fastened to the girder with clips over an elastic pad. By absorbing impacts and small misalignments, it protects the crane wheels, the rail and the girder — and significantly extends the service life of the entire runway. That is why we use it as standard on runways for heavier duty.
