Single-girder or double-girder overhead crane — which should I choose?
A single-girder crane (1–16 t) is lighter, more economical and suitable for small and medium facilities. A double-girder crane (10–80 t) handles heavy industry, large spans (up to 35 m) and maximum hook heights — the hoisting crab travels on top of the two girders to maximize vertical clearance.
What capacities and spans of overhead cranes can you supply?
We manufacture overhead cranes from 1 t up to 80 t with spans engineered to exact building dimensions (commonly 6 m to 35 m). Girders are fabricated from rolled IPE/HEA beams or welded box sections per EN 13001 and EN 1090-2.
Do you supply the crane runway and electrification as well?
Yes. We deliver turnkey packages: structural runway beams (HEA/HEB profiles, DIN 536 rails), anchoring consoles, enclosed conductor bar electrification and commissioning.
How is the price of an overhead crane calculated?
Price depends on capacity (t), bridge span (m), lifting height, structural type (single-girder vs double-girder with maintenance walkway vs underslung), selected hoist technology (SWF NOVA², NOVA¹, CRABster) and smart automation options. We prepare a free engineering proposal and budget quote.
Do you supply overhead cranes for explosive atmospheres (ATEX)?
Yes. For ATEX zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 we supply explosion-proof cranes with certified components per Directive 2014/34/EU — SWF NOVAex or STAHL CraneSystems hoists, temperature class T4.
What documentation and proof tests are provided after installation?
Following erection, we perform static and dynamic proof load testing with certified weights, expert examinations under applicable safety codes, issuing the crane passport, inspection log, CE declaration of conformity and operator manual.
